Generation Axe: The Guitars That Destroyed The World (Live In China) recoge varias interpretaciones de la última gira del grupo por Asia.

Steve Vai ha dicho que «la idea era crear un show sin interrupciones con una banda de acompañamiento y 5 guitarristas asombrosos y completamente logrados que suban al escenario en varias configuraciones, interpretando parte de su música solista y fusionándose como co-creadores cohesivos de exuberantes extravaganzas orquestadas de guitarra ”.
